Lx Jewellery was started in 2002 born out of a desire by Leanne to create art through jewelry design.
All too often the choice in jewellery is limited by lack of quality, mass produced, wrong length, wrong colour. We have aimed provide a solution to this by making available a fabulous range of designs which allows you the freedom to customise length and colour in many of our pieces.
We have sought to fill a gap between high designer jewellery, mass produced low carat gold and faddish low quality copies. Our jewellery pieces are classical in inspiration and construction but modern in colour and creativity and made to last.
Our necklaces and bracelets are strung in the classical method of hand knotted silk to give you the fabulous drape and a fall equivalent to the finest strands of pearls and gemstones.
We only use Swarovski glass pearls which have the weight and quality of a cultured pearl and come in a great selection of colours. Freshwater pearls are used for their lustre and their interesting shapes. Gemstones and Murano glass allow us to play with structure and colour. Our vintage inspired components are rhodium plated (for anti tarnish properties) sterling silver with cubic zirconia for longevity and finesse.
Leanne
Creative Design
Leanne graduated with a degree in chemistry and a post graduate diploma in oenology (winemaking). This should have put her on a path to pursing the delights of Bacchus but the move to Australia from New Zealand into the heady tropical climate bought out her creative and arty side which soon found its niche in jewellery design.
Many trips overseas, extensive research into the history of jewelry has resulted in a jewelry collection inspired by the Art Deco Period, Shakespeare, Mozart, travel and the colors of the tropics assisted by a good bottle of anything.

Keeping track of gold and silver prices, currency fluctuation, stock levels and where every little component ends up is no mean feat.
This is compensated by a delicious run at the Hong Kong Jewellery Show each year to indulge in the latest trends and buy buy buy.
